Jaleta Boyd's Artist’s Statement

Jaleta Ford Boyd, native Arkansan, has traveled internationally, but always finds herself retreating to her Ozark Mountain home for rest and solitude which usually results in another series of paintings, inspired by her travels.

So far, her accomplishments have resulted in international showings with a following of clientele who eagerly await the announcement of her next series. A former member of the Sedona Art Society, she has spent an equal amount of time in Santa Fe at local art shows

With both of her grandmothers being Cherokee Indian she naturally fits in to the Southwest and Western art scene. Her most famous paintings have been of horses but her current interests have resulted in a contemporary series entitled “Many Moons, Many Colors.”

Working with acrylic and oil on canvas Jaleta anticipates her next series and when asked what her favorite painting is she always says, “The one I’m working on now.”
